On May 27th, 2011 we will be holding a Grand Opening Ceremony for Old East Common! Old East Common was initiated by LIFE*SPIN in 2006, when a dilapidated house, located at 423 Ontario Street, was removed and an empty lot was created.
Old East Heritage District residents camp together at Aeolian Hall to create a common vision for this space. Over the past 5 years, we have been working to create this vision, "Old East Common: Building Common Ground"- a neighbourhood recreational green space.
Please join us to celebrate and erect our donor wall that acknowledges the generous donations for material and labour that has brought our collective dream to reality.
Ontario Street- Just North of Dundas Street- Look for the Oasis!
Celebration begins at 4:00 p.m.
