LIFE*SPIN Youth Job Fair:

If you are in high school and are interested in working on one of our environmental sustainability projects this summer, please bring your resume to our Job Fair at LIFE*SPIN on March 11th at 1:00pm.  Be part of awesomeness!

Free Store:

The Free Store is open on Monday and Wednesday from 10 am to 2 pm and on Tuesdays from 3 pm to 7 pm.  It is located at 872 Dundas Street. (Corner of Dundas and Ontario)  Be ready for that cold weather season with next-to- new clothing for you and the whole family! Generous donations daily of clothing and footwear for all! Income Tax Specialist:

By appointment only. LIFE*SPIN provides free assistance to file income taxes for low-income individuals, for current and past years. We are now booking appointments for 2018 taxes.  See Programs here.

Just for Girls:

Welcoming girls between the ages of 13 and 18 for another fun season of amazing activities! We will be meeting at LIFE*SPIN every other week on Wednesday evenings 5pm-7pm (just like last year). Our next gatherings are: Wednesday, February 13,  February 27th, March 13 and March 27th. These girls experience fun activities like making art, going to the Grand Theater, rock climbing, food education, empowerment and FUN!  Activities and fun are endless! Bus Tickets, dinner and all activities are all provided for those at every session! 

LIFE*SPIN Community Dinner:

Our Community Dinners have started up again!  Come and learn to cook a nutritious meal to eat together!  Good folks, good fun and good food.  Mark your calendar for the next LIFE*SPIN Community Dinner Wednesdays, February 27 and March 27 at 5:30pm.

Summer Jobs for Youth - Job Fair:

Last summer we were able to hire 15 youth to work at LIFE*SPIN, many for their first job experience. If you are interested in working on one of our environmental sustainability projects this March Break fun for children ages 5-12. Games, stories, crafts, delicious snacks and good times. Parents can sit in on the Registered Education Savings Plansummer, please come to our job fair. Bring your resume. March 11th at 1:00pm at LIFE*SPIN!

March Break Seed Planting Party:

March Break fun for children ages 5-12. Games, stories, crafts, delicious snacks and good times.  Parents can sit in on the Registered Education Savings Plan Workshop, while the kids are entertained at the party just for them.  Please call to register. We will have registration forms available at this event for the Easter Egg Hunt and the free summer day-camp program, Pocket-Sized Farms. March 13 @ 1:00pm

The Ukelettes Coffee House:

The First Friday of each month is  a night of song with hosts, The Ukelettes, as they lead an enjoyable evening of song, with hot coffee and treats!  The next Coffee House will be March 2, at 7:00pm.

PRO-BONO Tenancy Act:

These legal workshops are important for you come to!  If you attended our first one, you now know everything about doing up a Last Will and Testament! Our next one is being held on  February 13 at 1:00pm and you are invited to learn all about  Residential Tenancy - which means, If you are a tenant - this is important for you!  Further, on March 20th, our Pro-Bono experts will cover consumer protection. Amazing important information all for free at LIFE*SPIN! Preregister at LIFE*SPIN by calling us or coming in and leaving your name.  After all, Knowledge is Power!

Registered Disabilities Savings Plan and Registered Education Savings Plans

If you have a registered disability learn how you can receive $1,000 for free every year through a RDSP. We will also be covering how you can receive $500 of free money for your child's education with a RESP!  We will be having a workshop on March 13th at 1:00 p.m. to cover these plans but in the meantime, please do not hesitate to ask us about how these can serve you   Please register, free for all! RESP/RDSP WORKSHOPS:

We also have workshops on RDSP and RESPs with special guests to get the true insight of both of these plan and how they can really help you.  These workshops are extremely helpful and informative to you and may really help you and your children financially! The next workshop is March 13th at 1:00pm. Please mark your calendar for this workshop because it is an important one!

Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

We are pleased to have Len Roozen assisting anyone who needs income taxes completed for the current and/or prior tax years, as part of the Canada Revenue Agency’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).

Our service for preparing taxes is by appointment only.

Note: if you do not have your “Notice of Assessment” for the last year you filed, please call 1-800-959-8281 to request a printout, before making an appointment.

LIFE*SPIN provides free assistance to file income taxes for low-income individuals, for current and past years. 

Note: We can assist individuals who earn less than $30,000 and families whose incomes are less than $39,000.
