LIFE*SPIN is one of the longest established and most respected Community Economic Development (CED) organizations serving low-income citizens in Ontario. The mission of LIFE*SPIN is to provide information and support for individuals surviving on low-incomes, and to support the empowerment and self-development of these individuals in their efforts to attain self-sufficiency.
LIFE*SPIN is a grassroots organization that has led programming in London for over 25 years.These programs are all geared to enhancing the lives of low-income families through education, advocacy, and community-building. Front-line services include social benefits mediation, publication of public legal educational resources, housing, environmental education workshops, nutrition programs, financial literacy, Income Tax preparation clinic, children & senior’s programs, a Free Store, and homelessness prevention supports.

On April 25, 2019, Jacquie was the recipient of the 2019 Leading Women, Leading Girls Award for her work at Life*Spin. The Building Communities Recognition Program was presented by MPP Teresa Armstrong, MPP Terence Kernaghan and MPP Peggy Sattler.

Jacqueline Thompson Mayors Honour List for 2019
On Tuesday, January 13th, 2019 at City Hall, our very own Jacqueline Thompson received an Honour from The Corporation of The City of London, as being named to the 2019 Mayor's New Year's Honour List for outstanding contributions to Humanitarianism in the City of London! Of course, the Life*Spin Team came and cheered her on! We are extremely proud of our executive director and the architect/creator of Life*Spin!
